Tough weekend but that’s part of racing. Friday we decided to go to the Yankee in Farley. Running 4th in the feature and RR tire delaminated then finally went flat with 2 laps to go….DNF. Sunday decided we would try the Bullring at East Moline. With rain it made tough track conditions and in the heat we completely destroyed the nose. We got it on enough to not ruin a radiator but just make some laps. We ended up 5th. Our next race is 34 Raceway Friday night. Thank you to our amazing sponsors who allow us to keep going even after the tough weekends.

Made the trip back to Maquoketa Saturday for the final night of the Hawkeye 100. It was pretty cool to win in front of so many fans and broadcast on Dirtvision. None of this would be possible without our amazing team and sponsors who stand behind us. Thank you to all the hard work of the promoters who made it possible and gave us a place to race. We will be at Davenport Speedway tonight for their rescheduled season championship.

We will be at Maquoketa Speedway Thursday for open practice then racing Friday and Saturday night. If things go well maybe hit up East Moline Sunday. August 27th-29th we are going to go to Arkansas for “vacation” and race at Batesville Speedway to test some stuff for Race for hope in October.

Everyone in racing knows how hard the sport is. You can never get complacent and always have to be pushing for speed. We are lucky our product sponsors feel the same way. We sat down a month ago with John at JDR and talked about where we thought we could gain and he jumped right in and said let’s build something to help. We have won races running JDR carburetors in sport mods with crates and opens along with a modified on methanol. Now switching to a Spec we both wanted to test and try to be better. If anyone needs a carb for any application get ahold of John and he will get you in victory lane.

We are excited to get a freshen up with a new body and wrap by Capital Signs this week. Also after some calls and talking JDR is building us a brand new carb to test and see if we can make some gains on our Midstate Machine Spec engine. We are truly blessed with amazing sponsors and excited to get back on the track next weekend. As of right now our schedule is up in the air as we have decided to skip season championship nights next weekend.

We went to Indee for weekly racing and our makeup feature from their fair race. Started 10th in the heat race and on the last lap got a hole in the radiator. That ended our night. We stayed and hung out and got to watch Hudson pick up the win in the sport mod feature!

We will take this next week off to perform some maintenance and pretty the ole girl up a little.
