Who had the best start? 🤔

When you’re sprinting at high speeds, your hamstrings are under HUGE forces. Especially as your leg swings forward and prepares to strike the ground.

Glute-Ham Raises help by strengthening the hamstrings through both the knee and hip, while teaching them to work together with the GLUTES‼️

Why does this matter for FAST athletes?

The faster you run, the greater the forces your body has to produce, absorb, and control. Stronger hamstrings can improve your ability to tolerate those demands and may help reduce hamstring injury risk when combined with proper sprint exposure, progressive loading, and recovery.

🔥 Stronger Hamstrings
🔥 Stronger Glutes
🔥 Better Posterior-Chain Strength
🔥 Greater Capacity to Handle High-Speed Sprinting

You can’t just train your athletes to RUN fast you have to build a body capable of HANDLING fast⚡️

COACHES: Stop making speed training harder to understand than it needs to be. 🧠⚡️

A lot of coaches use terms like horizontal force production, ground reaction forces, front-side mechanics, projection angles, and rate of force development.

But your 10-year-old athlete probably has NO idea what any of that means.

Good coaching isn’t about proving how much YOU know. It’s about getting your athlete to understand what THEY need to do.

Instead of saying “Increase horizontal force production,” say “Push the ground behind you.”

Instead of “Maintain proper hip projection,” say “Keep your hips moving forward.”

Instead of “Decrease ground contact time,” say “Get off the ground QUICK.”

As a coach, understand the science but learn how to translate it.

Stop speaking your language and start speaking THEIR language.

Because if your athlete doesn’t understand the cue, how can you expect them to execute it? ⚡️
