On Saturday, August 22, Coach Fernando steps back into the ring at War in the Desert III at Soboba Casino Resort Event Center.

Fernando gives a lot to our students every week, and now it’s our turn to show up and support him.

🇲🇽 TEAM OVERTIME GETS THE WIN IN TIJUANA 🇲🇽

Another successful trip across the border as Jiovanny Melendez earns a hard-fought decision victory in Tijuana, Mexico.

Anyone who’s spent time around combat sports knows how difficult it can be to travel into another country and leave with a decision win. Jio didn’t just do enough to win the fight, he won over the crowd and left no doubt in the judges’ minds. That’s something to be proud of.

We’re incredibly proud of the work he put in leading up to this moment and honored that Coach Julio and Coach Mason were able to be in his corner every step of the way.

A huge thank you to LAP for the opportunity to compete on such a great event. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, your team treated us with professionalism, respect, and first-class hospitality. We truly appreciate being welcomed into your promotion.

We also want to thank the people of Mexico. Everywhere we went, from the restaurants and hotels to the fans at the event, we were treated with kindness and genuine hospitality. You made this trip an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait to come back.
