Muddy Creek said, “You thought I was done?”

Cute.

The proof is right there in the pan, chunky little pieces of gold sitting next to a dime like they are posing for a family photo at the mall.

Muddy Creek still produces nice gold, and apparently it has been hiding out like a kid who heard chores mentioned. You know it is in there. You know it is waiting. You know it is making you dig, classify, pan, squint, question your life choices, then grin like a fool when yellow finally shows up.

Gold in Muddy Creek is like the last cookie in the pantry. It is tucked behind everything, acting innocent, hoping nobody serious comes looking.

Well, we looked.

Now it is your turn.

Make plans to find your gold at LDMA - Vein Mountain Camp in North Carolina. The creek is still talking. You simply have to bring a pan and listen.

You will lose lbs, but gain grams.

Welcome to Desert Chaos, where the California High Desert politely offers you dust, sweat, shovels, The Beast & Big Bertha the high volume DryWashers, and the chance to split real gold with a small crew of prospectors who apparently think this sounds like vacation.

Only 12 participants get in each session. Yes, 12. Not 50. Not 100. Twelve. Which means limited spots, larger gold splits, and fewer people standing around pretending they were “supervising.”

Session 1: Sept 23 to 26
Session 2: Sept 30 to October 3

You’ll process serious PayDirt, run high volume drywashing equipment, learn real mining techniques, and celebrate the cleanups like you actually earned it. Because you did.

Open to LDMA Members and Non Members.

Get signed up before this sells out and you’re left at home watching everyone else post gold pictures while you scroll in regret.

The Mardi Gras parade was spectacular!

Apparently someone told the floats, costumes, beads, music, and dancing that they were competing for a gold nugget, because nobody held back.

One minute you’re watching the parade, the next minute you’re dodging beads like a prospector chasing the last shiny flake in the sluice box.

At LDMA Loud Mine Camp, the Mardi Gras celebration brought big smiles, great friends, plenty of laughs, and enough excitement to make even the gold in the creek want to come out and join the party.

Good times, great people, and memories worth more than what’s in the pan. Who’s ready for the next camp celebration? 🎭✨🥇

Ever try holding your breath while chasing something shiny at the bottom of a creek?

It’s a lot like looking for your car keys in the dark. You know they’re down there somewhere, but your lungs start negotiating terms before you find them.

Gold dredging is one of the few adventures where people willingly strap on gear, stick their face underwater, suck up gravel all day, and come back grinning because they found a few flakes of yellow metal hiding behind a rock.

One minute you’re feeling like a professional underwater treasure hunter. The next minute you’re popping up for air wondering if that rock just outsmarted you.

The good news? Gold doesn’t swim away. It just sits there patiently waiting for you to stop floating around and find it.

Lost Dutchman’s hosts gold dredging camps throughout the year at several LDMA camps across the country. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the thrill of breathing through a hose, moving gravel, and uncovering hidden gold beneath the water, your next adventure is waiting.

Check out upcoming events at www.MyLDMA.com and come see what all the bubbling, splashing, and gold fever is about. The gold is down there. Your lungs are on the clock.

53 people. About 3 hours. One common goal.

It’s funny how complete strangers will happily move dirt, shovel gravel, run material, and chase gold together when there’s shiny stuff involved.

Today’s common dig brought together 53 participants, all working side by side to recover gold. The best part? Every piece of gold recovered was split equally among the group. No secret stash. No gold hoarders. Just teamwork, laughs, sore muscles, and a pocket full of gold.

Where else do you get to spend a few hours getting dirty, making new friends, and walking away with real gold?

Turns out the old saying is true. Many hands make light work. They also make heavier gold splits.

Want in on the next adventure? Check out our upcoming events and come experience what happens when people work together, dig together, and strike gold together.

The dirt is waiting. The gold is hiding. The crew is ready.

High banking for gold at Lost Dutchman’s Loud Mine is a lot like a neighborhood barbecue. Everyone shows up with a smile, somebody does the heavy lifting, everybody gathers around the action, and by the end of the day everyone is hoping to take home something good.

Only at Loud Mine, instead of burgers, you’re feeding paydirt into a hopper. Instead of checking the grill, you’re checking the sluice. And instead of asking, “Is the food ready yet?” you’re asking, “Did we get any gold yet?”

The best part? The laughs, the stories, the teamwork, and watching those shiny little pieces of gold appear where a few minutes earlier there was nothing but dirt and gravel.

Funny how a pile of dirt turns complete strangers into mining buddies faster than you can say, “Run another bucket!”

Who’s ready for some fun in the sun, a little hard work, and a lot of gold fever at Loud Mine?

“Let’s educate you a little bit about LDMA - Loud Mine Gold Camp geology for finding gold and how we dig it up…”

Apparently, those are magic words around here, because suddenly we had a crowd.

Turns out people like learning why gold ends up where it does, how material moves, what signs to look for, and why digging in the right spot beats digging random holes like an overexcited groundhog.

At Lost Dutchman’s Gold Camps across the USA, education comes first. We show you the geology, the methods, the equipment, and the little clues nature leaves behind before you ever swing a pick, run a sluice, or fire up equipment.

Want gold?

We’ll show you how to improve your results, read the ground, and chase it with a plan.

The gold is out there. It has been hiding long enough.

BIG Thanks to David for sharing a lot of education.
