It’s going down at .race.sms ! Practice today until 9. 10k comp and car show tomorrow. Funday Sunday for open drift. Spots are still available. Great weather and people. We are going to be burning a couch, popping champagne, giving ride alongs and hanging with the umbrella girls. Come and see 40 drift cars from 8 states battle it out!

Coming into Round 1 at Southampton Motor Speedway, keep an eye on James Adkins.

Hailing from Virginia, James has been charging harder every season and continues to be one of those drivers who quietly puts in the work. Behind the wheel of his Ford V8-swapped BMW E46, he’s proven he can hang with anyone when the pressure is on. The car sounds as mean as it looks, and if you’ve seen him drive, you know he’s always willing to put it all on the line.

One of my favorite memories of James goes all the way back to some of my early competitions. At the end of a drivers meeting, I asked if anyone had anything else to add. James simply said, “Thank you.”

It was a small moment, but those are the things that stick with you. Moments like that helped push me to keep building, keep improving, and eventually create the series we have today. Having drivers like James support what we’re doing makes all the long nights and hard work worth it.

I hope James has a great weekend, and honestly, I hope every driver does. We have an incredible field coming from multiple states, all chasing their shot at the $10,000 purse and the start of a championship run.
