Another great memory! A trip to XPE during Combine Prep and I got to hang out and talk movement with Courtland Sutton and Anquan Bolden. Anquan left before we could get him in the pic!
I learned a lot by watching those guys work with the rookies. Fantastic trip!

Speaking at the Nebraksa High School Strength Coaches state clinic a few years ago…not only did I get to meet the Father of Modern Strength and Conditioning Boyd Epley, but got to hang out and listen to stories for two straight days!! Man what a trip that was!! I was part of a speaking lineup that featured Coach Epley, Dan Fichter, Stew Venable and Adam Vogel. Incredible.

I was at the NFL Combine with XPE and the night before the 40’s RB (now with Ravens) Chase Brown was about to do a practice start. My good buddy and combine training legend Tony Villani said “Hey Hoover take a video of this and show it to your team”.
Been using it as an example of how to ever since…

On a flight tonight and gave me a chance to go through my Amazon photos and pull out some incredible memories!
I’ve gotten extremely close with Joe Kenn over the last few years. Currently collaborating on some VBT research…but this photo was taken the first time we met face to face.
We both were speaking at the NSCA NC State Clinic!
Great memories!

A year ago my dude Hayden was catching passes for NHS…got to watch him last night catch 2 passes for 42 yards for the Minnesota Golden Gophers!! Second on the depth chart as a true freshman!!

🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩This lack of knowledge is such a basic bad opinion on the correct use of progressive altitude drops that it’s almost embarrassing that they had the idea that posting this on social media was a good idea.
There is obviously an element of “hey they don’t know what they don’t know” to this comment. But instead of curiosity about it, they decided to be judgmental and critical. Very bad take.
Point of this?? 30 years of coaching and still a glaring lack of understanding on basics of eccentric forces and time limitations of sport movement etc….parents need to really investigate who they ask to train their athletes. Being a skills/sport coach does NOT mean you understand human performance/athletic development. Seek out a proven, experienced and qualified professional for those needs.
