Another successful volunteer orientation! 🎉

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to join us and learn more about our program. High Lonesome Therapeutic Equestrian Center would not be possible without the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our volunteers.

We welcomed one of our youngest riders this week! At just 4 years old—the minimum age for our program—he was an absolute star. ⭐🐴

From the moment he arrived, he listened carefully, followed directions, learned new skills quickly, and tackled every challenge with a huge smile on his face. Watching his confidence grow throughout the lesson was such a joy!

We can’t wait to see all he accomplishes as he continues his therapeutic riding journey. Way to go, little rider—we are so proud of you! 💙

Sometimes riding doesn’t go according to plan. Whether it’s an injury to your horse or an injury that keeps you out of the saddle, there are still ways to learn, practice, and stay active.

Today, Arvil found a creative solution and got some “ride time” on his new horse, Quick Pistol Ellie! 🐴💙

Therapeutic riding is about so much more than being in the saddle. It’s about problem-solving, building confidence, staying engaged, and making the most of every opportunity. When obstacles arise, we adapt, improvise, and keep moving forward.

She shows up in a big way with her motivation to learn to become a certified instructor! It is a very arduous and time consuming course of learning. What a fantastic reminder that we can all continue to learn and grow! 📝💗🐴🫶
