Yesterday at Thanksgiving with my family, I noticed my nephew had lost a lot of weight. He had been up to 334 lbs and is now down to 180! 👏🔥 Of course I had to ask him, “What did you do?”
He said, “All I’ve done is walk… and walk a whole lot… and reduce my caloric intake because I was eating too much for the amount of activity I was doing.” 🚶♂️🥗
As we age, I truly believe strength training is one of the best things we can do — especially for women, but men too. 💪 Many people don’t love strength training, yet they want to stay healthy or get healthier.
So here’s my recommendation:
If you’ve been thinking about starting a fitness program and don’t know where to begin… start walking. It’s the simplest, easiest, and least expensive thing you can do for yourself. Lace up a good pair of shoes and head outdoors. 🌤️👟
Movement matters. Being outside is good for your mind, body, and soul. 🌿💛 And as my nephew reminded me… it’s never too late to start.
