Saturday October 9, 2021 is a date that will go in the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway history books as the day Brittney Zamora Racing became the first female to win a "Premier" Division on the 5/8 mile track. The "Premier" Division is the Pro Late Model (PLM) division. The best of the best short track drivers compete in the PLM Division. Here is a video of my view of Brittney Zamora's win.

Is Nashville, TN becoming a key hub for NASCAR racing fans?

On June 29th the NASCAR Cup Series returned to the Nashville Superspeedway. The sold-out crowd witnessed one of the best races of the year. Saturday, July 17th the Fairgrounds Speedway played host to the Rackley Roofing Presents SRX Racing/Masters of the Pros 150. Another sold-out crowd was treated to the finale of the SRX Racing Series and the Masters of the Pros for Pro Late Model (PLM) cars. It was exciting to see the standing-room-only crowd so supportive of the Fairgrounds Speedway.

The Masters of the Pros started the night of racing by running the first segment of 75 laps of the 150-lap race. After the first segment, the Camping World Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) Racing crew took the track over for the live CBS Primetime finale. 12 drivers from different disciplines and eras were set to compete. On the line was the prestige of winning the race against this elite field of drivers and the season Championship title.

NASCAR Cup Series Champion Chase Elliott and his father, Bill Elliott the 1988 NASCAR Cup Series Champion were competing against each other for only the second time. Chase made it two victories over his father by winning the 77-lap race. It was not easy and as it was a hard-fought battle.

SRX Racing co-founder Tony Stewart also a three-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion made a pass late in the race taking second securing him the 2021 Camping World SRX Racing Championship. Bill Elliott held on to third securing him a podium finish.

Race director and co-founder Ray Evernham needs to be recognized as the Champion of the series as he runs the races and oversees the cars, the drivers and makes sure the show goes on, and what a great show it was.

Nashville’s own Willie Allen Racing in the Rackley WAR Pro Late Model won both segments of the Masters of the Pros capping off a great night of racing.

On Saturday February 13, 2021 Brittney Zamora Racing will take the green flag in her first Daytona International Speedway race. She will be racing in the NASCAR ARCA RACING SERIES Lucas Oil 200. Brittney will be driving the SQ1 Flex, AquaBanas, Brittney Zamora's Pit Road Pals, Rette Jones Racing, Ford, number 30. Though it will be Brittney's first time receiving the green flag at Daytona it turns out the chassis number CGR-005 she will be driving has an historic place in superspeedway history.

Between 2001 and 2005, Sterling Marlin was a constant threat to win at Daytona. Now in 2021, that same car he drove will race in ARCA. Now owned by Rette Jon...
