Sometimes a pair of shoes is more than a pair of shoes. 👟💜

When we asked one participant, “How will the shoes help you?” she wrote:

“My ex was very abusive. The last time I was here, I got shoes, but he burned everything I owned.”

For her, new shoes represent a literal new beginning—a step away from a traumatic past and toward something better. 🌅

They are tools to walk, run, rebuild confidence, and keep moving forward. 🚶‍♀️🏃‍♀️💪

This is why we do what we do. Sometimes hope looks like a new pair of running shoes. 👟❤️‍🩹
