FIGHT LIKE A GLADIATOR

Today, our baseball family lost someone who meant so much more than a coach.

Coach Bishop fought a battle that no one should ever have to fight. He fought it the same way he taught the boys to play the game, with courage, toughness, heart, and a belief that you never stop fighting.

Throughout this season, our team carried his name and his fight with them.

Coach Bishop reminded our players that being a Gladiator isn’t just about what happens on the field. It’s about standing beside your teammates and showing up when things get hard, believing in each other and fighting until there is nothing left to give.

Our 2026 season was built around the words “Fight Like a Gladiator.” this is his legacy.

To Coach Bishop’s family, we are so incredibly sorry. Please know that you are not grieving alone. Your South Allegheny baseball family will continue to tell his story.

To our players, Live by what he taught you, take care of each other and remember the man who showed you what fighting really looks like.

Once a Gladiator, always a Gladiator.

Rest easy, Coach Bish.
Your fight is over.
Ours continues with you forever in our hearts.

As our season comes to an end, the South Allegheny Baseball Boosters would like to thank everyone who helped make this year special.

Thank you to our coaches for your dedication, leadership and countless hours preparing our players to play the game they love, to our parents and families for your endless support and participation, and to our players for representing South Allegheny with pride all season long.

Thank you for the memories, hard work, and support throughout an incredible season.

To our Seniors, it won’t be the same without you and we wish you all the success and happiness that you can dream of. To our underclassmen, See you back on the field in 2027, we have unfinished business! 💙💛⚾️
