Course prep is underway for the Munford Invitational (Corn Classic). Saturday, September 26 is the big day with over 30 teams already signed up!

The MHS XC boys were in action at the Yellow Jacket Invitational today. The guys finished 21st in the field of 26 teams. The Lions were led by Preston Stewart in 87th. He was followed by Anthony Cruz (89th), Hudson Stewart (111th), George Orr (207th), and Aiden Russell (211th). The guys are back in action next week at the Volunteer Spirit Classic.

Not the day that the MHS XC ladies wanted, but the Yellow Jacket Invitational is behind them. The team finished 18th in the field of 21 teams. Aubree Frank led the Lions in 89th. She was followed by Danie Fielder (106th), Andie Fielder (126th), Ansley Gable (151st), and Giselle Herrera (165th). The ladies are in action next week at the Volunteer Spirit Classic.

Another XC Saturday for the MHS XC teams. Both teams were in action at the Pleasant Valley Raider Run Invitational, perhaps the most hills they will see all season. The boys came home with the 3rd place trophy in the small school (1A-3A) division out of six teams. The Lions were led by Preston Steward in 9th place, Anthony Cruz in 11th, Hudson Stewart in 17th, George Orr in 20th and Aiden Russell in 27th. A picture of the guys with the trophy will be posted at some point this week!

Another XC Saturday for the MHS XC teams. Both teams were in action at the Pleasant Valley Raider Run Invitational, perhaps the most hills they will see all season. The girls came home in 5th place in the small school (1A-3A) division out of nine teams. The Lions were led by Aubree Frank in 10th place, Danie Fielder in 15th, Andie Fielder in 26th, Joanna Camp in 42nd, and Ember Carothers in 45th.

MHS XC alum Dakota Frank is representing the Lions at the next level!

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama – On Tuesday, the Gulf South Conference announced its 2026 Men's Cross Country Coaches Preseason Poll and Runners To Watch, naming both Conner Patterson and Dakota Frank to the watchlist while the team ranked second.

The XC Lions' boys team was in action today at White Plains. Anthony Cruz led the team with a 31st place overall finish (16th in 1A-3A). He was followed by Preston Steward in 41st (22nd), Aiden Russell in 79th (42nd), Hudson Stewart in 82nd (45th) and George Orr in 85th (46th). Overall, the team finished 5th in 1A-3A.
