When your son spends his summer at One Shining Moment Sports Camp it means he will have the opportunity to Strengthen his Character through our many different sports and activities. He will build relationships with many peers that play the sports for the love of the game and have counselors that have grown into responsible adults, but still have the love of sports in his mind and soul. All individ
uals at One Shining Moment Sports Camp have a similar love for having fun through physical activities from our administrators, our staff and our campers. We strongly believe in keeping the recreational component in a competitive sports world while teaching life’s most valuable lessons through sports and fitness. We will strive to strengthen your son’s character, leadership and camaraderie through his days at One Shining Moment Sports camp! One Shining Moment was started by Danny Jesselson (aka Mr J). Danny has a background in coaching kids in multiple sports and in different venues. He loves teaching life’s most important lessons through sports, being part of a team and being part of something that they can be proud of. Loyalty, Integrity and Courage are 3 characteristics, Danny wants to instill in the kids that participate in OSM programs! Without regard to existing talent or ability, a One Shining Moment participant will be expected to play his/her hardest, be a positive role model and to strive to improve in the physical and mental fundamentals of all sports. Young men/ladies possessing a positive mental attitude, strong personal discipline, and a desire to better themselves are the cornerstones of One Shining Moment Sports Programming. Kids who willingly take care of a teammate by recognizing them for their hard work, by helping when they are physically or mentally down, and by standing up for, or supporting a teammate even when they are not there.
