Marty's Bicycle Shop

Marty's Bicycle Shop Muncy's local bike shop. Offering brands such as Trek, Cannondale, Electra, and Charge. Marty’s Bicycle Shop is a family run business that got its start in 1961.

Originally from central New Jersey, we built our first store in Trenton, NJ. 800 square feet of sales floor with over 75 assembled bikes made us Trenton’s largest Schwinn bicycle dealer. In 1971, needing more space, we began the process of converting an old gas and
service station into what would be our new store. This new store in Lawrence, NJ,
with over 1500 square feet of sales floor, allowed u

s to display more bikes and keep
up with the growing bicycle industry. With the beginning of BMX and a wider variety of Road bikes, Schwinn grew its bicycle
line 20%. We also added other bicycle lines, Ross and Vista. In 1989, we moved to Muncy, Pennsylvania and opened our current store. We now have
4000 square feet of sales floor displaying 250 assembled Trek and Cannondale bikes and a 5000 square feet warehouse holding 300 more bicycles. As the bicycle industry grew, our mission has never changed; offer the most complete
selection of top quality brand name bicycles at great prices backed with the best
service available. Focusing on Customer Satisfaction has always made us one
of the best bicycle dealers.

Pushing past possible. Lovable rogue. In it to win it.

These traits define Cannondale, and they began in 1971, when Joe Montgomery founded the company in Wilton, Connecticut.

It is with great sadness that we share that Joe passed away on January 2, surrounded by family.

A true maverick, Joe helped pioneer lightweight aluminum frames and built innovation into Cannondale’s DNA from day one. What started with cycling accessories led to a breakthrough: the first American-made, mass-produced aluminum bike frame.

More than a builder of bikes, Joe was a builder of people, driven by perseverance, curiosity, and trust in his team.

Today, we honor his legacy and strive to build upon it.

Cannondale wouldn’t be Cannondale without Joe.

Six of us did Sue’s course from Mifflinburg. Of course Mike showed up just as we were leaving and he said he would catch up.It took a while but he eventually did. Everyone liked the course except the short climb uphill on 104. The traffic was unnerving but we made it through safely. The weather continued to be nice as we returned to the festival. Thanks for the course Sue. I am sure we will do it again.

Great news for American racing: the storied Philadelphia Cycling Classic is set to return in 2026.

Today organizers and city officials announced the revival of the race that ran for over three decades from 1985 to 2016, and was once the highest rated UCI single-day race in the United States. The race is slated for August 30, placing it in what’s shaping up to be an interesting late-summer-early-fall block of pro racing in North America.
