The Mukwonago Girls Basketball Club is hosting our 3rd annual breast cancer fundraising “Ballin for a Cure” Girls Basketball Tournament. The event will be held at Mukwonago High School (605 W Veterans Way, Mukwonago, WI 53149) on February 25th, 2024. Last season’s “Ballin for a Cure” raised and donated $29,640.92 and is still ranked #1 on Susan G. Komen organization of Wisconsin’s third-party top fundraising leaderboard for 2023. Like in previous seasons, ALL proceeds from our event will again be donated to the Susan G. Komen organization to help continue fight breast cancer. We invite you to join us for this season’s “Ballin for a Cure”, as we strive to surpass last season with a fundraising goal of $40,000.00.
Collectively, this year’s breast cancer fundraising event “Ballin for a Cure” is coming along extremely well and on track to exceed last year’s fundraising. This event is in high demand and filled up completely in just a couple weeks. The “Ballin for a Cure” Girls Basketball Tournament included well over 1250 people in attendance, hosting 32 southeastern Wisconsin 5th-8th grade girls’ basketball teams, their families, and community members. The geographical boundaries of the registered teams go as far north-east as Sheboygan, as far south as Lake Geneva, and as far west as Middleton. The event grown from last year, covering just over 4,200 square miles.
The support and generosity for this event has been amazing. The list of sponsors and supporters has been growing daily.
The “Ballin for a Cure” event will include, “Jeep for a Week” raffle sponsored by Lynch Mukwonago, multiple 50/50 raffles, and dozens of raffle baskets/silent auction items. We will have a full concession menu, proudly featuring pulled pork sandwiches donated by David Alan Alan's Smokehouse & Saloon, along with coffee and bakery from Shanahan's Coffee House & Deli.
