This is what I think of SC trying to pass on allowing non certified teachers teach in our public school…..😝🤬😝🤮🤦♀️ ridiculous.
Thank you for not hiring me when I applied over a decade ago. Having a Bachelor Degree in Education, having a standard elementary teaching certification wasn’t good enough. You wanted me to be licensed too. Thank you, thank you. I may not have the state benefits I wanted. I received so much better doing what I have the last eight years. I teach when I want. The pay is much higher. The stress non existent. I do not have to deal with parents. I do not even have to commute to a building. I teach for numerous school districts in our country. I do so in the comfort of my home. I am able to care for my kids. If something comes up, a sub is available.
Thank you. I am completely debt free, home paid, money saved to retire. All this before even hitting 50. Thank you. None would have been possible if I taught in the public school.
You still didn’t solve the problem. Hire who you want. There will still be a shortage. There is a bigger issue to why teachers are quitting. Focus on that.
