We are issuing a voluntary battery recall for certain earlier-production RIX products after receiving reports of flat-top, single-wrap (unprotected) lithium-ion batteries overheating, emitting smoke, igniting, or potentially exploding under specific conditions.
Although rare, these incidents present a serious safety risk.

For Storm and Pocket series, devices are affected if the 5th and 6th characters from the end of the serial number match any of the following:

AA,AB,AC,AD,AE,AF,AG,AH,AI,AJ,AK,AL

Leap (older models only): L3, L6
DBH: D6, D12
Affected DBH SN codes: BA,BB,BC,BD,BE,BF,BG,BH,BI,BJ,BK,BL.

Power off the device
Remove the battery
Do not charge or reuse the battery

Leakage
Unusual heat
