The week after school got out, these athletes continued to compete and represent Bomber Track and Field.
Freshman Jocelyn Green scored 2,722 points and placed 45th. Her best events were a 4-7 HJ and 15-4 LJ. Jocelyn is a very talented athlete who performed well for her first year at the Heptathlon.
Sophomore Eliana Pepin scored 3458 and placed 20th. Her best events were a 16-10 LJ and 28.58 200m. Eliana will be our highest scoring returning heptathlete for next year and one of our best leaders.
Senior Camilla Johnson scored 3819 points and placed 11th. Her best events were a 26.68 200m and 2:33 800m. Cami has since signed a full scholarship to Lindsey Wilson University in Kentucky where she will be part of the XC and Track and Field teams.
Junior Isaac Ballard did not finish due to reactivating a hamstring injury but his best events were a 11.84 100m and 53.78 400m.
Senior Ben Souder scored 4770 points and placed 21st. His best events were a 51.8 400m and 11.78 100m sprint. Since the Decathlon, Ben has joined the Track and Field team at John Brown University where they will use him for sprints and possibly decathlons.
Junior Gus Wilber scored 5769 points and placed 4th! His best events were a 51.3 400m and 15.67 110m Hurdles. Gus has a great opportunity to be the overall champion next year!
