Johnson County Junior Longhorn Football & Cheer Jr. Longhorn Football & Cheer is back for the 2021 season and with the Watauga Jr Athletic League.

** FREE **FOOTBALL AND CHEER CAMP
(Ages 4-12)

Hey everyone, Just a head up this week will be camp for those that can attend on Friday July 14th. We will need you to arrive about 15-30 mins early to sign a waiver form. Also, each child needs to bring his/her own water bottle with names on it. We will be there from 6pm-8pm. Pizza will be provided to the league children and coaches.
**PLEASE WEAR CLEATS

Some have ask about equipment needed for this season as far as what they need to purchase or what we purchase. Please see below as to what we provide vs your choice of additional equipment.

League for FOOTBALL:

-Shoulder Pads- (Turned in before end of season at last part of games.)
-Helmets - (Also turned in at end of season at last part of games)
-Mouth Guards - we have just a standard that we keep incase a child misplaces theirs during a game. **IF WE GIVE ONE please keep up with it and not ask for one every practice or game. If your child wants to pick out their own for their helmets they are allowed to do so out of your own pocket expense.
-Cleats - you provide those yourself ( we have some if they fit your child you can try on if need be.)
- Cup - this is not a have to so this is a parent/child choice
-Under padded shirts and pants - again this is a parent/child choice (Our jersey pants will come equipped with the pads in the hips and knees as years previous.
- Jersey Top and Bottom are to be kept post season in addition to your socks. Everything else will be returned at end of season for next year kids.

The fundraiser will cover the following for football players:
- jersey shirt
-jersey pants
-mouth guard
-2 pair of socks
- back pack draw string bag
- Camp shirt
**For cheer Mrs. Misste has covered that in the cheer chat. I am slacking on this end. šŸ™‚

Practices will be starting on July 17th at the High School track field. We will start at 6pm-8pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Please have your child dressed cool but with CLEATS on please. Again Cheer will be in the cheer chat group.

Come by and see this great kid 4-wheeler. (Including gloves, eye wear, and helmet) Raffle will be drawn at LAST Johnson County Junior Longhorn Football & Cheer home game. Date will be announced at a later date. Thank you to Big Bad Wolf Motorsports and Lefevre family!!

Come Join us at RALPH STOUT PARK tomorrow July 4th after parade in the evening. We will be serving the list below and ALL proceeds will go to the Johnson County Junior Longhorn Football & Cheer kids. Thank you all in advance for your support through these last 3 years! These kids enjoy their season for sure. (blacked out is BBQ that we will have at other times) We will be stationed between the baseball fields in the concession stand at the field. Come see us. CASH / CARD accepted

Hey parents, I am just making sure that all parents are in the BAND app. I am going to start posting all our information for this upcoming month. I know that this year will be great so I don't want no one not to be informed of all our activities. If you have not added yourself yet please private message me so I can get you into our SCAM free app link. This will be available for parents, grandparents, family, and friends. Once you are in we can let them be added as well. This is where all our pictures and information will be posted so this is very important to get in the app soon. We have one for the whole group and then one separate for some of the cheer announcements. Thank you for your sign-ups and we will be posting information soon.

For those that have not joined the band app for private announcements please private message me and I will get you signed in. This is for both cheer and football. We have stuff posted and always will post our info in there due to privacy issues here. updates posted in our app so letā€™s get yā€™all in the app for those that havenā€™t joined in yet. We want to remind everyone that we have a our tournament on June (23-24) that only has 2 spots left. Double elimination with trophies, home run derby with table plaque, home run bracelets, and plenty vendors. If you need more information please message me (Chassie Lea Timbs) for info and entry. Cut off is Thursday. We will also have our raffle of the season tickets available at the tournament or if you are out and about you can also go by Big Bad Wolf for tickets as well. 1-$5.00 or 5-$20.00. With our tournament coming up, we need to fill the spots with helpers in concession. I am in a league this year so I will not be able to pull a-lot of time in concession as last year. The board does a-lot of things not seen so please do not leave it up to just board members. I have the links above for signing up. It is going to be fun and not too crazy with having food trucks as well. Please help out and all you do is click the time you want to help and it will add your name. I have both fields covered with book keepers and have portable potties coming as well. If you have questions please ask.
Also, last sign up is tomorrow 10-2 at old High school field house please let family and friends know. Excited for this season!!
