π Race Recap β Skagit Speedway π
Last Saturday, the team rolled into Skagit Speedway with the 21c, 66, and 78c ready for action. The 87c stayed home as Braeden headed south to Evergreen Speedway to compete in his Legend Car.
The weather forecast had everyone guessing all day. It looked promising, then the clouds opened up just before engine heat! π§οΈ
Despite the rain, the Skagit Speedway track crew did an outstanding job getting the surface race-ready. Huge credit to them for their hard work. π
With a stacked field of 20 NW Focus Midgets, qualifying was incredibly tight:
ποΈ 21c (Dale) β P14
ποΈ 66 (Jeff) β P4
ποΈ 78c (Justin) β P11

Feature Event
The feature turned into one of those nights that reminds everyone how quickly things can happen in racing. Multiple cautions and three red flags made for a stop-and-go race that was uncharacteristic for the NW Focus Midgets.
Starting positions:
ποΈ 66 β P4
ποΈ 78c β P11
ποΈ 21c β P14
Early in the race, Dale spun while taking evasive action to avoid an incident unfolding ahead of him. Despite avoiding direct contact, the caution was assigned to the 21c, sending him to the rear for the restart.
On Lap 3, disaster struck for the 78c. Justin had nowhere to go when an incident unfolded in front of him, resulting in a rollover and significant front-end damage. His night ended early, but we're thankful all the safety equipment worked exactly as designed and that Justin walked away just a little sore. π
With the 78c sidelined, attention turned to the remaining cars. Jeff kept the 66 battling inside the Top 5 all night.
Unfortunately, the race was shortened on Lap 22 following a frightening incident involving Creager Racing friend Ashley Thompson in the 41, whose car rolled several times. We were relieved to see Ashley back in the pits afterward, sore but okay. β€οΈ

π₯ Side Note from Carmel π₯
I do my best to bring everyone along for the ride with our live race updates, but sometimes racing has other plans! π
Saturday was one of those nights where the red flags were flying, the action wouldn't stop, and my phone battery decided it had already worked enough overtime for one evening. ππ
Thank you all for sticking with me through the freezes, delays, buffering, and occasional disappearing acts. I truly appreciate every like, comment, share, and message.
Until then, if the live feed suddenly disappears, assume one of three things happened:
1οΈβ£ The track went red.
2οΈβ£ The signal went missing.
3οΈβ£ My phone entered witness protection. π€£
Thanks for following along and cheering on the team! β€οΈπ
