Vernon Youth Baseball and Softball runs the baseball and softball league for boys and girls ages 3-14. All money generated by MVYB&S goes back into running the MVYB&S programs. The City of Mt. Vernon-Black Township Parks and Recreation Department has had an agreement with MVYB&S to run the program and maintain the five youth baseball and softball fields since 1987. Mount Vernon Girls Softball Association was merged in October 2016.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who showed up today. So much was accomplished and it was much appreciated! As an all volunteer organization, it could not be done without the support of our community. MVYBS fields, concession stand, restrooms, everything looks great, and ready for the kids to learn and play.

Just a reminder since last Saturday was a wash out, we will be working at the fields this Saturday 14th @ 9:30 am. We need to spread field conditioner, hang banners, wind blocks, fix scoreboards, all the things! If you are able please stop by, even if it’s for an hour, any help would be appreciated.

Umpire informational meeting will also be held at 10am in concession stand.

Morning. Field work day has been canceled due to heavy rain and flooding.
Rescheduled for next Saturday March 14th at 930am. Any help would be much appreciated!

Reminder there will also be an informational umpires meeting next Saturday at 10am in concession stand.

Good Evening! We are planning on having a work day at around 9:30am weather permitting Tomorrow . We would like to atleast get the cage nets and banners up if fields are too wet to work on. If rained out rain date is next Saturday! Any help is appreciated.
