Although Breonnah has been with the Y for about 6 months, she has already made a positive impact through her hard work and dedication. She takes pride in keeping our facility clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone who walks through our doors. 👏

Have you always wanted to feel more confident in the water? Now is your chance! Adult Swim Lessons begin July 7th at the YMCA of Mount Vernon and are designed to help adults of all skill levels build confidence, learn essential water safety skills, and become more comfortable in and around the water.

Daytime Swim Lessons: July 7th - July 30th (Tuesdays & Thursdays)

From Parent/Child classes to Level 5 swimmers, our lessons are designed to help kids of all ages and abilities grow their skills in a safe, supportive environment.

Next up, meet Reagan, one of our incredible Gymnastics Coaches! 🤸‍♀️ Reagan has been part of the YMCA team for almost 2 years, and we have been so fortunate to have her sharing her talent, knowledge, and passion for gymnastics with our athletes. Great gymnastics coaches are a rare find, and Reagan has truly been an amazing role model for the gymnasts she has coached and inspired. 👏✨

We are incredibly proud of all Reagan has accomplished and excited to see what the future holds for her. This fall, she will be heading to Bowling Green to continue her gymnastics career, and we know she will do amazing things both in the classroom and in the gym! 🎉

☀️ Week 2 of YMCA Summer Adventure is here and it's Grossology Week! 🦠

As we kick off another exciting week of camp, we're still smiling about all the fun we had during Week 1! Our campers enjoyed a week filled with laughter, new friendships, exciting activities, and unforgettable memories. What an incredible week!

Each week of Summer Adventure brings a new theme and new adventures. Campers stay active and engaged through games, crafts, educational activities, and trips to places like the library, YMCA Sportscenter, Hiawatha Community Pool, and more!

🌟 A HUGE thank you to our Summer Adventure Sponsor, Knox Community Hospital! Their generous support helps make this program possible and provides local children with a safe, fun, and enriching summer experience. We are incredibly grateful for their investment in our youth and our community.

5:00PM Update: Power has been restored at the Main Street YMCA location. 24/7 Access is now available to members who have signed their waiver. The Sports Center currently remains without power. We will update as soon as we have more information.

⚠️ Due to the ongoing power outage, the YMCA of Mount Vernon will remain closed today, Sunday, June 7th.

At this time, we do not have an anticipated power restoration timeline. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
