APPLETON, Wis. – Cornell's Isaac vanWestrienen crossed the finish line well ahead of anybody else in Saturday's men's race at the Midwest Conference Cross Country Championships.

Isaac vanWestrienen breaks a 41 year old school record in the XC 8000m. He crossed the line in 24:19, breaking All-American, Matt Trimble’s record of 24:34 set at the national championships in 1983!
•
vanWestrienen finished 3rd overall in the field comprised of DI, DII and the top DIII teams in the country! He led the Rams to a 12th place finish, behind 10 nationally ranked teams, beating several teams receiving national votes!
