Well a big change to the Honeybucket golf league is happening on this Monday. The competition level has just increased for both shank and slice divisions of the league. You have nothing to fear unless they are your opponents anytime during the rest of the season. You’re probably wondering, “what is he talking about”? Well the Rine brothers joined the 60 year club and will be fighting now from the gold tees! Soooo tighten up your game, clean your clubs, and sharpen your pencil, the tides of war have just changed. Haha

Week 2 in the Honeybucket golf league was a show of determination, perseverance, and a not giving up attitude! Many of the” warriors “ shared in the spoils of the battle. Congrats!
I have a sub list with contacts if you are in the need for one, just shoot me a txt. Couple things to address:
1. If there are teams behind you please be courteous and let them play thru, or pick up pace of play.
2. Double bogey on any hole is max shots for that hole, pick up ball
3. If your able to jump to another hole when starting please do so as to not back up 1& 10 tee box.
With that being said, contact your opponent for tee time, bring the jam, crack open a cold one and most importantly of all, LAUGH AND HAVE A GOOD TIME!!

The first nite of Honeybucket league was very successful!! I want to thank everyone that paid there dues that day and to the others please get them to me. We had several players and team players that won proxies and skins. Skins money and proxies will be at the counter when you pay your green fees. If you know of anybody that would like to be on the sub list please let me know. Tomorrow 4/27 is going to be a beautiful day for golf and for being just one week in….. the teams on both sides is very competitive!! Reminder: if it starts to back up on the tee box look to maybe start on a different hole and come back around. Soooo let’s come together with a smile, laughter and balls to donate to the pond. ARISE OH WARRIORS ARISE!! As we take to the battlefield of the beautiful Vernon View golf course stand strong and of great courage and don’t let the cooler temps cause you to fear, warmer days are coming!! As we begin our first of many Mondays remember it can be a little confusing and chaotic till we get going, so please be patient. Items needed for today: $ 60 league dues, $20 green fees, golf clubs, drinks, and music and the most important thing…. A fun attitude! So remember when you’re aiming at the team in front of you ….. holler FOOUUURRRR!🤣

Just 4 days away 87 men and 13 women will be begin a series of battles that will ultimately determine who will reign champions of the 2026 Honeybuckets golf league. The stage is set; fairways mowed, greens groomed, beer is chilled. I have reached out to every team with your opponents contact info for the first week. Sooooo it may be a little chilly the first nite but I promise warmer days are coming. Patience, attitude, smiles and laughter are the keys to successful evening. So I say to all the returning players along with the new players to the league, “ JUST KNOCK THE DIMPLES OFF THE BALL”! Mike

Well, just days away from the official kick off of the 2026 Honeybucket golf league!! I have started contacting teams with contact information for the first week. I will have hard copies with contact info for people in your division. To avoid confusion please be pro active in contacting your next week opponents in a timely fashion. Also when bringing dues money try to have exact change if you please. And please subscribe to the Honeybucket page for info and surprises thru the season. FOOUUURRRR! Mike

Well, just as the Masters is gearing up, so is the 2026 season of the best league in Knox county….. Honeybucket golf league! Schedules are out and ready to view on the Vernon View website. I will have contact info for all players so you can reach out to your opponents. The first week I will reach out to every team with a contact number for our first week. Look for more info this up and coming week concerning the league. I’m so pumped about this up and coming season!! Mike

Well,well the weather is starting to be a little more cooperative in terms of warmer days coming which I sure everyone has had enough of the arctic weather. So I hope everyone is looking forward to another good and fun year in the Honeybucket golf league on the beautiful Vernon View golf course. Schedules will be coming soon . We have made a few changes this year that will help with some of the frustrations from last year. However, every season brings some different obstacles that we may encounter as a league, but don’t let it ruin your Monday evening. So with an open mind let’s remember what this league was built on many years ago. It was started so people had a chance to escape the rat race of everyday responsibilities and hit a little white ball over and over again, ( and cuss some) but to have fun and enjoy each others company.
