2nd Annual Alumni Game

Saturday, July 11th @ 4:00

Now that the high school season has ended, it’s time for the seasoned vets to dust off their spikes and gloves and stretch out those hamstrings.

Any former player or coach that was associated with the Mount Union High School baseball team can sign up to participate. Please send a message to this page, PM, or reach out to Tim Hicks if you are interested in playing.

Once we see how many players are available, we’ll release more information on the details of the game.

This is a fundraiser being run by the Mount Union CHAMP captains. Come out and support a great cause and watch the legends of the past relive their high school baseball days.

Coach Nick Imperioli would always say after winning a championship, β€œThis never gets old.”

This team and town celebrates that phrase. The players show up to work and the town shows up to support. You never know when you may never get the chance to do something special again. Last night’s 7-2 victory over Bellwood may have been the 21st district baseball championship in school history, but we celebrated like it was our first. Never lose that feeling.

Coach Jeff Vogus said, β€œMount Union baseball will just out work teams to win games.” This team embodies that phrases. They show up everyday with the desire to get a little bit better. They play for each other and the name on the front of the jersey. They have a lot of fun doing it, but don’t miss the fact they are working hard at the same time.

Last night we celebrated with a community that shows up for these players time and time again. We rode through town and watched people celebrate an accomplishment with us that many others don’t get to experience. We witnessed our younger generation staring up at those players with wide-eyes hoping they get to do this someday when it’s their time.

Thank you to the Mount Union community for making last night memorable. We celebrated it with the community. Today, we are thankful for that opportunity, but we go back to work today to keep trying to get better.

On Monday, we start our next journey into the state tournament. The game will be at Mount Union. More details will be released this weekend.
