Vote today in the Rocky Point Board of Education election. This is a good school district with high College admission rates. For decades. Let’s not radicalize it with few angry parents dictating to teachers curriculum that they know nothing about.

Vote Nicole Kelly and Susan Sullivan to BOE to keep down the budget but also keep the high educational standards. This page is not political, but is educational and loves this district. And tell your friends to vote to keep our good schools.

For decades, I have worked diligently to protect public health by supporting environmental initiatives that reduce the use of toxic chemicals and promote renewable energy. During my time as a Legislator, I have supported the preservation of thousands of acres of open space, advocated for the remediation of toxic sites, and moved forward legislation that protects our drinking water and local water bodies.

On Long Island, water is an economic driver. I have adamantly supported the county’s “Reclaim Our Water” program and have strongly opposed the dumping of toxic dredge materials into the Long Island Sound. I have sponsored the acquisition of local parcels, including the 24-acre Country View Estates property in Middle Island, the 59.3-acre Little Portion Friary property in Mt. Sinai, and, most recently, a 5.4-acre parcel in Miller Place, which had been slated for development and has now been added to Cordwood Landing County Park. In addition, I have supported programs to address illegal dumping in our parks to protect our ground water.

I am proud of my proven track record on environmental issues and I am pleased to be endorsed by the Sierra Club and the New York League of Conservation Voters.
