What an incredible weekend at the AirXpansion Paragliding XC Clinic! The clinic was a huge success, with great flying, personal bests, and an awesome community atmosphere throughout the event. It was especially exciting to have Nick Greece here sharing his high-level experience and knowledge. Many pilots flew personal bests, gained confidence, and pushed their XC skills to new levels. We truly live in an amazing place to learn and develop as XC pilots.

A huge thank you to Laura, Bala, and everyone else who helped make the clinic happen — from driving and logistics to food, photos, organization, and support on launch and in the LZ. Events like this only happen because of the effort and generosity of so many people. Can’t wait to do it again!

Starthistle Fly-In 2025!!! Labor Day Weekend

Only a few days to go, the long forecast is looking good all weekend, climbs to 9k yesterday, evenings have been stellar past couple weeks, great for pilots of all levels. Get a ride to launch in the new “Ratwagon” Come fly with us! 🦅

Starthistle 25’ fly-in is coming. Looks like we’re getting lucky with good weather and no smoke so come join us at Woodrat mountain in southern Oregon over Labor Day weekend! I’ve reserved Cantrell Buckley group camp site so if you want a spot PM me. For insurance reasons it’s a free event. I will arrange rides to launch all day. We’ll have a BBQ dinner on Saturday evening. Good flying for all levels of pilots. Looking forward to sharing the air with y’all!

RVHPA is the local Hang Gliding & Paragliding Club in SW Oregon and far Northern California. Our main flying sites are Woodrat Mountain, The Whaleback, Herd Peak, and others in the Rogue, Applegate, and Shasta Valleys.
