Still haven't tried the new Hayne's Stink Bait. Had gentleman stop in last weekend to by two and the results were fantastic. Several nice channel cats landed with the largest just over 8 lbs.

Dip baits are still active and we have Triple S, premo and Junnies brands also available along with a wide variety of tube and dip style worms.

Need live bait. Sunfish are in stock and we are running a special through the weekend on large and medium goldfish at $1.50 off per dozen.

Should be great weather for fishing.

This weather for August has been a real roller-coaster, with plenty of twists and turns. After the quick rise last Saturday through Sunday, the river has returned almost to pre-flood stage.

Folks on the dam this morning were trying a handful of bait options, but a gentleman using some homemade stink bait was the only one with channel cats on his stringer. Regardless, it's going to be a beautiful weekend. Get out and do some fishing!

Caleb and the Conservation Department have been working hard after last weekend's flooding. The boat ramp at Faulkners, Gibson Park and Water Works are now open!! Due to the quick rise of the river though, the campgrounds are going to take a little more work. Thanks to the Conservation team for all their efforts to get things squared away before campers start arriving for Old Threshers!!!
