Needing 1 more sweeper and a few volunteers for aid stations at Saturday's Crimson Canyons Ultra & Trail Runs (Sept 17th) in Richfield, UT. Free pre-race folk concert Friday evening at the Richfield Lion's Park, and providing some gas money and a sweet t-shirt to volunteers. Sweeping will be the 1st half of the 50km (Table Mtn. Loop), and you can choose between 10-16 miles. Aid stations need help in blocks of 2, 4, or 6 hours. DM if you want to join the volunteer side of racing.
Those wanting to run the race can still register, but you have just 2 hours (midnight Sunday) before registration closes.

While not exactly mountain or trail running, some of you may be interested to know that you can run the Boston Marathon virtually this year. No qualifying times if I read it right. But it is limited to the first 70,000 entrants.

Adventures is still happening at the Crimson Canyons Ultra on September 26th! Sign up tonight to beat the late registration price increase on September 1st. There is still room, though registration on ultrasignup.com is set to "wait-list" registration. Everyone on the wait-list will be officially added tomorrow. The race starts in Richfield, in central Utah. 50km and 25km distances.
We are still looking for aid station volunteers and sweepers for a couple sections. DM if interested. So far, we have runners coming from 16 states and also a couple from Great Britain; we want to show them the best of Utah.

Two events:
1) This Saturday is the annual informal “Quest for King’s”. King’s Peak - highest peak in Utah. Many Wranglers camping at Henry’s Fork trailhead Friday night, for a fun run Saturday morning. 26 miles round trip.

2) The Fish Lake Relay on August 22nd. A great 65 mile race thru high Mtn meadows, down green canyons, then on country roads. Most run with 6 runners on a team, but you can do with fewer or solo.

Welcome Trevor Allen and congrats to him (70km) and also Jared Nicolson (100km) for their finishes at the Tushars Ultra. I shared about 20 miles of the day with Trevor, he helped me get up the 4000ft climb. That was one tough race, run all at high elevation, brutal climbs, and spectacular views!!
