The guys beat the heat...another great ELR Match day at White Oak Creek! ELR Heavy pounded the steel first and once again frequent top finisher David Lindsay brought home the banner with a 61.3% hit percentage including 2 impacts at 2 miles! Shooters John Ashworth and Jaime Daigrepont were on the podium with 51.6% and 45.2% as well. Props to 4th place finisher Mason Del Castillo, a high placement for a Rookie competitor! The temps and wind both picked up for the ELR Light crew adding to their challenge. Nailing 3 for 5 at 2800yds (along with 2 for 5 at 2500yds) propelled Team Arkansas Mafia member Terry Garrison to first place with a 58.1% hit percentage. Shooters Billy Connor and Brian Wurfel rounded out the top 3. Major thanks to Valdada Optics and Ivey Shooting for supplying the prize table with some big discount certs on their top-tier gear! Each classification will include a regular morning match, to be followed by a Head-to-Head elimination match for cash! (top 16 finishing Heavy and Light shooters will be invited to participate) More details to follow. Looks like the highest temps are behind us, enjoy the tail end of summer!

LET'S GET AHEAD OF THIS HEAT WAVE!! For tomorrow 8/22/26 ELR Match we want to get rolling as early as possible to stay in front of the Mercury. We're asking ELR Heavy shooters to roll in as close to 7am as possible, get zeroed quickly if needed, and be ready to pull triggers at 7:30am. ELR Light shooters should try to roll through the gate by 10am. We'll have plenty of water/Gatorade for y'all to stay hydrated, but we'll try to move through the roster as efficiently as possible before the triple digits hit!!

ELR August 22!!
Just under a week away from our August match, the last one before the season finale on October 3,4.
and we’ve got an announcement to make!

The shooting sport of ELR is more than a individual sport, it takes a teammate behind the glass to help get those impacts on plate. We have been blessed with a slew of new shooters this season and we have had a great group of shooters who consistently have been willing to help other shooters out with spotting that may be short their teammate for a day or haven’t developed a spotter/shooter relationship yet.
In doing so they are behind the eight ball and wore out when it comes time to shoot their own rally.

We are excited to announce that White Oak Creek has been sponsored by the Arkansas Mafia Crew with a spotting scope and we will be providing a full time spotter to float around the firing line and help those who are in need of one.

Let’s keep the good times rolling and the sport of ELR growing!!

ELR registration is now open for our August 22nd one day match! One more match before the season finale!
Heavy division will start it off this match with Light division following.

Save the Date!!
Our season finale will be October 3rd and 4th.
Light division will shoot on Saturday the 3rd and Heavy will shoot on Sunday the 4th.
We will kick each day off with our season finale regular style match. 31 Round Count
Followed by lunch and season awards.

After lunch we will have a head to head bracket style match. Top 16 Bracket will be set based off of the standings of the morning match. Single elimination match with up to 4 rally’s. The first rally will be a 2 target 10 shot string the final 3 rally’s will be 2 target 6 shot strings.
Potential total of 28 rounds if you are one of the final 2 remaining!

Steamy...but successful. Regular ELR match Saturday for both Light & Heavy classes yesterday went very smoothly. Light shot first this time and benefitted from a fairly steady breeze to keep the comfort level acceptable...once the mid-afternoon arrived so did the higher temps and mirage making the job for Heavy shooters even tougher. The berms had dried out so shooters were getting great feedback if they missed the plates, and we had the 2-mile target corridor mowed down so both the 3050 and 3520 plates were back in play for Heavy. Light topped out at 2800 this time around. We also added a twist: Stage 1 included a KYL setup at 1500yds, still 5 shots but with two at the 2-MOA main plate followed by two at a full-size IPSC and one at a 66% IPSC with a hit-to-advance requirement. (Only a clean run would even take a shot at the smallest plate, and very few shooters even had that opportunity, while a fair number tagged the second plate at least once!) Team 3:16 ELR dominated Light class and swept the podiums for the first time ever! Winner Todd Hervey turned in a strong 71% hit percentage to claim the banner, followed by Brian Wurfel at 63% and Ernesto Roco at 58%. Grins all around. Heavy class found frequent top finisher Curtis Roman again atop the podium with a solid 65% performance including 2 impacts at 3050yds, followed by his partner David Lindsay at 58% including 2 hits at 3050yds and one at 2-miles. David worked overtime yesterday spotting for a host of both Light and Heavy class shooters including some newbies, steering them onto steel and generating major smiles, (you are a fabulous ambassador, David!) Rounding out 3rd place in Heavy was Jaime Daigrepont who vaulted up to steal the bronze by nailing the 2-mile plate 4 out of 5 times! (That's been accomplished only once before by Curtis Roman last season). Another major accomplishment in the Rookie category where Scottie Stratton pulled double duty winning the Rookie banners in BOTH Light (11th place overall) AND Heavy (7th place overall).
