We’re often asked how families can continue practicing swim skills at home between lessons. Today, Miss Sydney is demonstrating cup pours, a simple activity that can be practiced in the pool or even during bath time!

Pairing cup pours with the verbal cues used during lessons helps swimmers become more comfortable with water on their face while developing breath control and confidence in the water.

This month’s Staff Spotlight is Miss Lily Grace!

Lily Grace has been part of the Brighton family for almost 3 years, we’re so excited she’s moving into a full-time role! She’s been a competitive swimmer for 13 years and spends her summers coaching the Park West Pirates swim team. When she’s not in the pool, you’ll find her surfing, relaxing at the beach, or enjoying a day on the boat!

We’re so thankful to have Miss Lily Grace on our team and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes. Thanks for making a splash at Brighton!

Meet this month’s Staff Spotlight, Miss Kailey!

Miss Kailey has been a valued member of the Brighton team for the past three years and has been passionate about swimming since she was 5 years old. She is a rising sophomore at Clemson University, where she is pursuing a degree in Psychology with the goal of becoming a pediatric psychologist.

Home for the summer, she’s back at Brighton teaching lessons while enjoying beach days, shopping, and getting ready for a trip to New Jersey next month.
