Priefert has been considered an industry leader in the roping and rodeo world for over 20 years. What better place to host a high-level roping event featuring the iconic Priefert roping chute than on the very place where the product was created and tested… The Priefert Ranch. Home to the Priefert family, the Ranch has long served as an idea factory and a proving ground for their revolutionary prod

ucts. Now, it’s their pleasure to share the Ranch as a host location for an event that we hope will soon be as renowned as their equipment. The inaugural Priefert Ranch Open (PRO) Roping was held in 2022 and successfully brought together novice and pro athletes to compete in the events of Team Roping and Breakaway. Scheduled to coincide with the Northeast Texas/Southeast Oklahoma run of pro rodeos, The PRO Roping offered $2500 of added money in the Team Roping with an additional $1500 of added money in the Breakaway, with each event paying out over $20,000 total. Top athletes from both disciplines made their way to the ranch to compete. We aim to grow The PRO annually, giving ropers a well-timed chance to bring home big money while they are traveling through the region.

The 2026 Priefert Ranch Open marked another milestone in the event's continued growth and success. Over six days of competition, 2,032 entries competed for a total payout of $635,480, making it one of the largest and most competitive editions of The PRO to date.

The PRO continues to showcase the best of western sports while celebrating the values that bring our industry together... hard work, sportsmanship, family, and community.

A heartfelt thank you to every competitor, sponsor, vendor, and spectator who helped make this event a success. Your support continues to make The PRO one of the premier destinations on the rodeo calendar, and we can't wait to do it again next year!
