Honor box fishing is open! A few reminders, slots are closed - you are just open fishing. We are catch and release, you cannot take your fish home with you. Be courteous of other fisherman while visiting. Please bring your bait with you and any drinks/snacks you might need as the bait house is closed. The honor box (green) is located on the left side of the entry door at the bait house, you can also use Venmo - or Cash App - $FishKatDaddyz. 6 hours will be a cost of $15. We wanted to take a moment and thank our fisherman that are still coming out and supporting us by fishing via the honor box. While we know it’s not idealistic, we do appreciate everyone adapting to it so fishing can still be done! As always - we truly do appreciate our faithful customers! Thank you all!

Over the last week we have had several fisherman call or text and ask about honor box fishing. We have decided that we will be doing honor box fishing, as we know this weather coming up is the ideal weather to be catching fish in. The bait house however will remain closed as well as slots. With that being said - please bring your own bait and whatever beverages and food you or your family may need throughout the day or evening. We really hate to not give our customers a chance to be sitting by the lake and enjoying themselves. The Kat Daddy has officially retired for the season. With school starting and deer season close behind it seems to be what is best for our family. We will miss seeing some of your smiling faces the remainder of the year. However - we may have a few pop up tournaments that will be hosted by some local boys, it just won’t be our family. Watch for any updates. Until next time - we will see ya when we see ya!

The bait house and slots will be open today from 5:00 PM until midnight. Remember to come out and see Devin and Eric from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM for a buddy tournament Saturday!!

Starting today (Thursday August, 6th 2026) we are closed completely. There is no honor box fishing available. We are taking this week to work on the improvements around the lake to help benefit the fishermen and ourselves. Curt has two weighing places added on the side closest towards the barn road. This will help tremendously. In the beginning fishermen would leave us the gravel path to bring the gator, jeep etc to weigh their fish and in time they have now started parking on the gravel path which causes issues for us getting to you to weigh the fish. The scale stations will hopefully eliminate that problem as well as us getting to you in a more timely manner. Starting Thursday of next week - August 13th we will resume our Thursday night shoot out to see how our improvements help. Open fishing will resume from Thursday on. We appreciate your patience in giving us a week to get things more operable to help everyone. And remember Saturday the 15th we have two fellas hosting a buddy tournament you don’t want to miss!! Mark your calendars and get those poles ready!
