HRV stands for Heart-Rate Variability. This is a fancy way of saying a measure of the variation in between each heart beat.

The benefits of tracking your HRV leads to a better understanding of recovery and your overall wellbeing.

The higher your HRV the better BUT each person’s HRV is individual. So the the only way to really understand is to continually track it and compare it to YOUR previous data.

The CFLW team swears by the strap to monitor our training, recovery, and overall wellbeing.

For some of us we are going on week ELEVEN of quarantine. Y’all are crushing workouts from home, but that doesn’t mean it comes without days where there’s a lack of motivation. Some of us even fall into rut and can’t get out. It’s all gravy baby. Here are some tips we’ve put together to keep all of us on the right track:

•Schedule your workouts in your phone as you would a meeting. Don’t cancel.
•Create a workout space. If possible, different from your work space.
•Find accountability buddies.
•Try to keep the same timeframe each day to make it a routine.
•Eat healthy food that fuels you.
•Do workouts that you ENJOY. It shouldn’t feel like a chore.

Keep at it. We’re almost there and we’ll be back (to a new normal) soon.
