Too many coaches chase numbers to show their athletes that they made progress. Yes, getting better at a pro agility shuttle, or an L test is important- but more than anything, today’s athlete needs to learn how to teach themselves to account for the fact that the vast majority of today’s athlete is walking in with little to no free/ play time from when they were in elementary and middle school.

Taking the most novice athlete through the sequence of a pro agility shuttle at its core is not wrong. But not giving an athlete the opportunity to map out their own path is a wasted opportunity IMO
