What started out as a good morning and then a great afternoon turned into a bad night for the Hamlett/Curb Motorsports team @ Newport Speedway. Electrical gremlins returned for the #55 of Bennie Hamlett resulting in an early retirement from the feature race event and then while running in third place the #98 of Peyton Hamlett got spun on the exit of turn two and was t-boned by a lapped car. The impact was significant, there was a fire 🔥 that the tracks' safety team responded to quickly. Peyton was transported to the ER for evaluation and was released later in the evening. Preliminary evaluation is a concussion and contusions. curb.com fordnashville.com

and The IHRA Stock Car Series event at Anderson Motor Speedway was a definitely hot one, 🥵 on and off the track! Great car counts and racing in both the Late Model Sportsman and Pro Late Model classes. The Hamlett/Curb Motorsports team finished the night with a few battle scars and we're already looking forward to the next event Pulaski County Motorsports Park in Fairlawn, Virginia on July 25th 🏁🏆🏎💨 Town and Country Ford of Nashville
