Living the dream… truly. 🥰 It’s been such a fun year. It’s not over yet, but thank you to every single family who has trusted me with your little ones, referred me to friends and loved ones, or even just given me a shout out to strangers on the internet. I’m so grateful for this community and to get to do what I do!

Just checking in…😎

Remember, swim lessons are one layer of water safety. Active supervision, barriers, alarms, CPR and swim skills all work together to help keep little ones safer around water.

Now go check the dryer. 😉

Not every child walks into their first ISR lesson the same way…

Some are excited. They’re curious, eager, and ready to jump right in. Others are more hesitant. They may cling to Mom, cry, or need more time to feel comfortable with a new instructor, a new environment, and unfamiliar skills.

And neither response is wrong. They’re simply little people with different temperaments, different experiences, and different ways of communicating that something feels new.

For some, confidence comes quickly. For others, it grows slowly: one small success at a time. That’s why I never want the tears on day one to be the story we tell about a child.

Because I’ve seen the transformation so many times:

The child who cried when they entered the pool begins to trust their instructor. The child who was unsure begins to participate. The child who needed reassurance begins to say, in their own little way, “Look what I can do!”

And by the end of lessons, the biggest change isn’t always the skill itself. Often it’s the confidence behind the skill.

“I DID IT.”

Every child’s journey looks a little different…and that’s perfectly okay. 🩵

Hi parents! My 2026 Lakeside ISR season is completely full 🩵

I’ve already had several local families reaching out about lessons for next year, so I went ahead and created a 2027 interest list for anyone who may be interested in swim lessons in the Mt. Juliet/Lebanon area.

Registration typically begins in late fall/early winter (in just a few months!), and I’ll use the interest list to let families know when 2027 registration opens and dates become available.

If you’re thinking about ISR for your little one next year, you can add your email here! There’s no commitment.

Thank you for your interest in Lakeside ISR! 🩵 2027 lesson registration begins in late fall/early winter. Join the interest list to be among the first to know when registration opens, lesson info and more. Joining the interest list does not commit you to registering for lessons. Lakeside ISR prov...

That moment when self-rescue skills become second nature 😌🙌. Even the littlest of swimmers can accomplish big things with gentle, consistent instruction, where skills are learned baby step, by baby step. 🩵
