🚨NEW COACH ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

Welcome new rising 12U Head Coach Grant Young‼️

Grant was born in Nashville and raised in Middle Tennessee, where he grew up playing baseball on many of the same fields his children play on today. After graduating from Cumberland University, he was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. His first assignment took him to Texas, where he met his beautiful wife, Laura. Following deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, he returned home and started their family, welcoming three children: Marcus (11), Mateo (9), and Maven (7).

Grant has coached youth football and baseball for more than 20 years and has dedicated the past five years exclusively to baseball. He currently serves as an assistant coach for the Tennessee Grind 9U team while preparing to lead the organization’s 12U squad. His military and professional experience have shaped a leadership style built on discipline, accountability, and mentorship.

His coaching philosophy is centered on player development, trusting the process, and putting the team ahead of the individual. He believes success follows when young athletes compete with purpose, work hard, and enjoy the game.

Away from the field, Grant and his family are lifelong Chicago Cubs fans who enjoy camping and traveling around the country together.
