Just a reminder for everyone we are hosting our first 200 yard highpower match of the year with ELECTRONIC Shotmarker targets! We will have up to 4 relays with 6 firing points. Come at 0815 to help with setup and sign up at 0830. Firing to begin at 0900.

We are canceling the Tuesday night trap shoot due to the rainy weather. Hopefully it will be better next week.

We took delivery of the new steel for our indoor range backstop. I had good help today from Irvin Saylor, Vaughn Nissley, Sherm Keeney, and Bobcat skid loader from Longeneckers Hardware. We have all the steel inside on skids on the right hand side of the range up against the wall.

Please be careful if you are shooting on that side. If you use the portable stands do so on lanes 1-7 to avoid any possible ricochets off the steel stacks! We will be posting a work date to help with the back stop installation. There are some pieces we have to fabricate first but more to come soon!

August is National Shooting Sports month! We have a bowling shoot Saturday, a highpower rifle match Sunday, and a 3 D archery shoot both days this weekend!

Tom was a good friend of mine and many of you at MJSA. He did a lot of good things for the club over the years and introduced many people to rifle sports. He will be missed.

Tom L. Brooks, age 74, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Harry and Edith Brooks.
