Congratulations to Zennon Smith-Nail on winning the 2025 Pelicans Hitting Competition.

He scored 41 points to win the 13-14 age group to win a custom bat by B45 bats.

Zennon is continually grinding on his own and loves to get better daily. His work ethic and determination make him one of the top players in the county. We are excited to see what the future holds for this young man! Congrats kid, well deserved.

Smushball League interest post

We introduced Smushball to our summer camp participants last week and they absolutely fell in love with it.

So we had the idea of possibly hosting Smushball nights where the first 14 players would be split into two teams of 7 and play a best 2 out of 3 mini tournament. Or we even thought about making a 4 team league middle of July through the middle of August. Play one night a week for 3 weeks and then the championship would be top two teams the 4th week.

Got done with lessons tonight and ran over to Harper Park to catch the 12u all-star tournament. Warms my heart to see so many Pelican players that have been to the facility on the field tonight in the 2 games I watched.

Update on Griffin!

Look at the resiliency of this kid. When I got the pleasure of meeting him last summer at his send off to the All Star Game for DreamOn3 he could barely get out of his wheel chair alone and could only take a step or 2 with assistance.

Now he's digging in the batters box and is working daily to get back to full strength! His story is so inspiring for so many and has impacted the community in such a positive and uplifting way.
