‼️More Than a Season… A Standard Was Set 🐻🏆

We wrapped up an unforgettable season by celebrating our athletes the right way with pizza 🍕, ice cream 🍦, and recognition of their hard work.

Conference meet medalists were honored and received their individual medals 🏅a well-earned reflection of their dedication, growth, and performance throughout the season.

Track & Field is different. It’s one of the few sports where you’re constantly competing against yourself. You can chase a PR, improve from the last meet, and find ways to get better every time you step out there 🏃‍♀️🏃🏽‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️. Even when you don’t win a race, progress is still a win 📈.

Those small victories matter. That’s how each of you writes your own story and your story has value ✍🏽.

I may not always call out every moment or every improvement, but don’t mistake that for not noticing. I see the effort. I see the growth. And I care ❤️.

At the same time, what we’ve built here goes beyond individuals we’ve built a team 🤝🏽. A team-first culture. No one is bigger than the team. It doesn’t matter whose name gets announced or posted because if we don’t win together, none of it means anything.

And this season… you showed exactly what that looks like 🔥.

Our girls—conference champions 🏆. The first time in years.
Our boys—undefeated in the regular season 💪🏽 and finishing strong with a second-place conference finish 🥈.

That didn’t happen because of one athlete. That happened because of all of you because you showed up, you stepped up, and you bought into something bigger than yourselves.

You fought through setbacks 💥. You filled in where you were needed 🔄. You competed for each other 🤍.

That’s what made this team special.

And long after the medals are put away, long after the times are forgotten… what will last is what you built here 🧱.

You didn’t just win meets.
You changed the standard 📊.
You built a culture 🐻.

And now, everyone who comes after you… will have to live up to it. 👑🔥

🔥 RECORD BREAKERS WEEKEND for the Bears! 🔥

History was made this weekend as our athletes left it all on the track and in the field and the record books prove it 🎉

🏃🏽‍♀️ Neveah Shuff shattered school records in both the 100m and 200m dash…pure speed and dominance‼️

🏆 Evie Frazier soared to new heights, breaking the High Jump school record with an incredible performance‼️

⚡ Boys 4x100 Relay Team made history with a new school record:

Alex Bell, Tray Floyd, Bates Currin, Christian Pilson…speed, precision, and teamwork at its finest‼️

This is what hard work, dedication, and belief look like. The future is bright not only for M**S Track & Field but for these outstanding students-athletes 👏🏾

A Message from the Coaching Staff 🐻💙

Bears for the win‼️🎉

After more than a decade, the Mount Airy Girls Track Team has been crowned 2026 Conference Champions. This is a moment that has been years in the making, and these young ladies earned every bit of it.

Our Boys Team also delivered an outstanding performance, finishing 2nd in the conference. After an undefeated regular season, they faced tough competition and brought home silver with pride.

What makes this championship even more special is the journey.

Our girls exceeded even our own expectations. They faced setback after setback and competed at the championship meet without some of their top performers. Yet, they never wavered. They are the definition of resilience. Every athlete stepped up, filled roles wherever needed, and competed without hesitation. This group is truly something special.

Our boys were right there with them. They had an impressive showing and led the field in running event points. In two relay events, they came within less than a second of breaking long-standing Foothills Conference records, an incredible accomplishment.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our parent volunteers. Your time, energy, and support play a huge role in our success. We truly couldn’t do this without you:
Loren Belk, Allegra Long, Kenya Moore, Linda Connor, and Monique Long, thank you!

This is just the beginning of our journey.
