🎃 Last call for our Pumpkin Painting Contest!

This is the final week to get those pumpkins painted, decorated, and brought into the studio! We can’t wait to see what our dancers have come up with this year.

🎨 Get creative! We’ll be judging creativity, effort, and originality.

🏆 Winners in each age category will receive a $25 account credit!

🎃 Pumpkins due October 31st!

Kicking off our performance season with a little spooky fun! 🎃

Our KMG Ensemble dancers will take the stage for their first performance of the year TOMORROW, Saturday, October 24, at the 6th Annual Jeepoween at Felts Park in Galax!

KMG Ensemble is the performance company representing both Surry County Dance Center and Carroll County Dance Center. It gives our dancers opportunities to take their training beyond the classroom, perform throughout our communities, and grow together as dancers and teammates.

We love getting to share what these dancers work so hard on with the communities that support them!

Come enjoy the Jeeps, costumes, candy, and Halloween fun from 6–8 PM, and cheer on our KMG dancers as we kick off another season of performances! 🧡🖤

Cheer & Pom kicks off THIS SATURDAY, October 17, at Surry County Dance Center!

Football season might be winding down, but that doesn’t mean your cheerleader’s training has to!

Our NEW Cheer & Pom classes are designed to keep those skills growing between seasons! We’re talking sharper motions, stronger jumps, pom technique, sidelines & chants, basic stunting and tumbling, and all the confidence that comes with consistent training.

No games. No competitions. Just training that prepares them for whatever comes next! ❤️

And getting started is EASY!

❤️ Athletic wear or cheer wear
❤️ Clean cheer shoes
❤️ A willingness to learn and have FUN!

We provide the POMS! 📣

Saturday Classes Begin October 17!

🎃 Pumpkin Painting Contest at SCDC! 🎨

We’re so excited for our Pumpkin Painting Contest! This is such a fun way for our dancers to get creative and celebrate the fall season together!

Here’s how to join in:

🎨 Paint/decorate your pumpkin however YOU like — spooky, sparkly, silly, or stylish!

Bring it to the studio with your name attached by October 31st!

🎃 Age Categories:

* All Preschool Classes
* All Combo Classes
* All Level Classes

✨ Pumpkins will be judged on creativity, effort, and originality (and age-appropriate skill…please don’t have your high school prospective Art Major decorate your 5 yr/olds pumpkin 👀)

🏆 Winners announced Nov. 2nd will receive:

Hard work deserves a little celebration! 🎉

📣 It’s October, and we’re officially counting down to Cheer & Pom at SCDC!

Classes begin October 17, which means we’re getting SO close to giving our cheerleaders a place to keep training once football season wraps up.

There can be a pretty big gap between the last football game and the next round of cheer tryouts, and that’s a lot of time to lose the technique they’ve spent all season building. That’s really why we’re starting Cheer & Pom classes.

We’ll keep working on pom technique, motions, sidelines & chants, jumps, basic stunting and tumbling, and performance so they can keep building instead of starting over when their next season rolls around.

And remember: no games and no competition schedule. Just consistent Saturday training designed to help them walk into their next season stronger, sharper, and more prepared. ❤️📣
