Congratulations to Marissa Baldwin on her historic send last night December 8, 2025! becoming the first woman to ascend the infamous “North Wall Native” route consisting of only natural holds within the wall and volumes(wood shaped features), sandbagged at 5.13- this is no easy endeavor… Our helmets are off to you and your endeavor, you are a inspiration: cheers!

Here is your chance! Here at the White Elephant Buttress we make sure no youth climbers are left behind, we currently sponsor a number of climbers ourselves so we are reaching out for help. If you’d like to help a youth climber continue or begin their adventure as a secret Santa Christmas gift we will meet you close to half way! For a 200.00 donation you will sponsor 1 youth climber through our second half of season. Receiving a price break from full tuition cost, and you’ll receive one free instructed session from Instructor’s Mike and Marissa for you and a guest! Donate two second season passes and we will accommodate you and a group of up to 6 for 1 instructed private session…. You’ll also receive a gratitude letter from your sponsored climber in reflection to their seasons adventure…

Are you scared of heights? Come Climb to new heights in control with us!

This week in Youth Climbing Club:

Sense awareness and how when we lessen one sensory, all of our others become greater in natural adaptation!!!!!

Sometimes it’s perfectly ok to close one’s eyes and say, “Holy crap I’m scared” in exposure.
When one does this, it’s important to note the heighten sensories that remain: touch, feel, smell, and hearing. In that moment our body naturally resets it awareness to the remaining sensors. Often times this will tend to lessen the heighten sense of fear and/or exposures. Regaining control of that ol “sewing machine leg”, “wobbly horizons”, and so on.
It then Puts into perspective that with in these moments of new surrounding exposures what one can feel at the fingertips and under toe is most important in essence….

Happy climbing equals happy horizons!

Parents and Youth Club Climbers Unite Night!!!!

Starting in November, the last week’s session of every month will be the new, “Parents and Youth Unite Night!”

Are you proud of your youth climber? Let’s help them to be proud of you too! Parents whom climb with the kiddos share a unique and special connection that transpires over a lifetime of adventure.
We are introducing a new system to our program to help you(the parent), connect with your child through the greatest “pastime activity” known to man: Climbing! For 15.00 and a signed waiver, you’ll get the gear needed to join your youth climber during their last session of every month, so they can see you crush it too!
Scared of heights? We got you with Instructors Mike and Marissa at the end of your lifeline, also at your side through the experience of a lifetime!!!!!

MVP of the week: Climber G.took it Monday night out the gate. Topped the auto belay wall #1 twice, and then started projecting the new volume on the steep wall even though it was scary: she preserved and went home happy for it! My helmet is off to you young lady, “Verso l Alto’”…

In life we must learn to move through moments of fear: especially when one wants to know what it feels like to be on top….

The vision is transpiring beautifully and Redemption Hall is becoming as Grand as it deserves to be. Huge shout out to Marissa Baldwin for believing in the vision and showing up to be involved in every step of the process. This project would have never came to fruition without your involvement!
Last finish panel goes up tomorrow before club, all in time to surprise some Kid crushers for some fun sends!!!
