Baker Mtn. was chosen for one of the National Ski Area Association's Sustainable Slopes cash grants for 2026! This grant will be used for rebuilding our top shack and incorporating solar power in it to eliminate the need of a generator during night skiing.

Our coffee roasting business was purchased by two friends in 2017.

Bob Luce and Rob Miller (AKA Sparky) were both avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed skiing, mountain biking, and all that Maine has to offer.

In May of 2019, Sparky passed away unexpectedly.

In his memory, we made his special blend of coffee “Sparky’s Blend” available for purchase, and we donate $4 per pound to local organizations that help get kids outdoors into the fresh air.

We feel that skiing and snowboarding are activities that are good for the body, and the mind, and every kid in Maine should have the chance to enjoy them.

Every quarter, we choose a new organization to receive donations in Sparky’s honor.

This quarter, we’re donating to Baker Mountain, which is a small 501c3 ski area located in Moscow, Maine.

By keeping the cost of their lift tickets low, Baker Mountain hopes to welcome as many families and children as possible to their resort.

They strive to promote education, friendship, sportsmanship, physical activity, and civic responsibility among youth and families in the community.
