Good morning friends!

Just a friendly reminder that we aren’t in the shop today. I, Isaac, am in Carlisle, KY working a road race with a small company to help grow the racing industry in the Midwest, our dear friend, Noah, isn’t able to get in to the shop today because his wife just delivered their baby (congrats 🥳), and Stephanie can only do so much at the shop with our wild 2y/o.

This is certainly a growing pain, but growing pains just simply mean we are growing. Just think, we weren’t even open at this point last year. In fact, we had only just begun building the shop. In my books, that’s a win.

Update on this weekend: The shop will be open until 2pm on Friday.

This weekend, I had an opportunity to support a major endurance event out of state. This race is the Ironman North American championship race. We’re talking 50 pro triathlete competing for $75,000 and I’d be providing service on the back of a moto. As exciting as that opportunity was, after a lot of prayer, conversations, and weighing my commitments, I’ve decided to stay close to home.

Why?

Because this weekend, my kids want to pin on a number and race in the KORRS kids race.

Because KORRS is a grassroots, USAC-sanctioned event being put on by people who genuinely care about growing cycling in our region.

Because Race Ready Endurance Sports was never just about bikes—it was about community, family, and creating opportunities for others to experience the same joy this sport has brought into my life.

As a business owner, there are times when you have to make difficult decisions. Sometimes the “biggest” opportunity isn’t necessarily the right one. This weekend, the right decision is being present for my family, supporting a race director who’s invested in our sport, and helping the next generation fall in love with cycling.

So, you’ll find me in Kentucky this weekend—turning wrenches, supporting racers, cheering on my kids, and being exactly where I believe I’m supposed to be.

To everyone racing KORRS this weekend: race hard, race fair, and have fun.
