IMPORTANT ELECTRIC BICYCLE SERVICE UPDATE
As electric bicycles, e-motos and electric dirt bikes become more common, Morrow Bike Shop has received a growing number of requests to service high-powered models such as Freego, Sur-Ron, Talaria and similar vehicles.
To provide a clear and consistent policy, Morrow Bike Shop services traditional bicycles and factory-compliant Class 1, Class 2 and Class 3 electric bicycles only.
Under Ohio law, qualifying electric bicycles must have fully operable pedals, a motor rated at less than 750 watts and assistance limited as follows:
• Class 1: Pedal assistance up to 20 mph
• Class 2: Pedal and/or throttle assistance up to 20 mph
• Class 3: Pedal assistance up to 28 mph
The bicycle must retain its original manufacturer classification and remain in a compliant, unmodified configuration.
We cannot accept:
• E-motos or electric dirt bikes
• Dual-motor vehicles
• Motors rated at 750 watts or more
• Throttle propulsion above 20 mph
• Motor assistance above 28 mph
• Unlocked, derestricted or performance-modified e-bikes
• Vehicles without verifiable manufacturer specifications
This policy applies to all repairs, including tires, brakes, chains, wheels and spokes. Although the requested repair may involve a traditional bicycle component, returning the complete vehicle to service carries responsibilities beyond that individual repair.
This is not a judgment of these vehicles or their owners. E-motos and electric dirt bikes require different equipment, training, parts support and insurance coverage. This boundary allows us to maintain appropriate safety and workmanship standards.
Race Ready Endurance Sports may offer a separate, appointment-only service for e-motos and motocross motorcycles in the future. That service is not currently available.
Before bringing in an electric bicycle, please confirm its class, motor wattage and maximum assisted speed. If you are uncertain, contact us with the exact make, model and model year.
