Today the tmyc hosted the tax refund regatta seven skippers came out and participated in a one event completing 15 two lap races. John Pelosi became a new victoria owner today I helped him set up his remote for him. Most of you heard by now there was a couple of accidents at the pond today one was Rick and the trailer and Rick hurt his knee and the second accident while we are race a white tesla backed into Kevin bumper and almost backed in to Skip's vehicle so Skip decided to abandon that race to deal with the mess on shore.
This was Bruce Borror first regatta with his new victoria and continued sailing and getting better throughout the day. I (Jason) my sailing improved throughout the day. The wind was very light and out of the west and switching to the north quadrant so at times if was very flukey with 180 degrees wind shifts. Jacques graced use with his presence and was a spectator for most of the day.
I want to thank some people Skip Allen for being the PRO, my wife Brooke Troy being the score keeper and bring a tent for the event, Tom Rummage for cooking the pulled pork and bring the food for the event, Kevin Nice bring the dessert and Sodas and one of the tents and Mark Dickey for bring the waters for the event I have your cooler and will bring to the Star 45 regatta. Those Tents came in handy today. Dan Robinson for taking some photos in the afternoon when he showed up. Will Newton for making the trophies.
So back to the racing we had some very close racing today with alot of close finishes during the day. Rick sailed up to lunch time and dropped out for the afternoon part. We have a few people that got Bullets for the day Gerry had 8, Neil had 4, Jason had 2 and Tom had 1 for the day. So we even had a tie between 3rd and 4th place it came down to who had the most first places. These scores have two throw outs
