We want to thank everyone who purchased tickets, all the businesses that donated, and all the people involved for this fundraiser. We were able to reach our goal, and ended up raising over $8,000!

We held our drawing for prizes yesterday, where our players pulled names. We want to congratulate but also thank all 20 of the winners.

NYS just released their All-State team, This is a collection of the best players from the entire state for 8 man football. Gavin Baker was named co-player of the year with Jerome Bowen from Frankfort-Schuyler. Our first team selections were RB Mason Marland and DL Cade Zaleski. Honorable mention was QB Landen Highers and RB Wesley Dimperio. Congratulations to these players on an amazing season this year!

Of the 15 players named to the All-CNY team, 5 came from Morrisville-Eaton. While we havent posted the league ones yet(will post later tonight or this weekend) All-CNY is the best players from the whole league. Congratulations to these players on a well deserved honor.

While we have the league awards we are going to hold off on acknowledging them for now. Something tells me those same players are in for a couple more...

First help me congratulate Coach Don Johnson on being coach of the year! This award is determined by the other coaches in 8 man. This is coach Johnsons third time recieving this award.

Give a big round of applause for Gavin Baker who was named 8 man player of the year! It is very rare to see a "Defensive" player recieve this award. Gavin was the Swiss army knife for Morrisville, he led 8 man football in multiple stats. "Ralphie" had 8 carries for 53 yards and 17 receptions for 415 yards. The major stats came on defense accumulating 145 tackles (5th best in all of New York) 5 sacks, 2 Interceptions, 8 fumble recoveries and 3 forced fumbles, and a total of 9 Touchdowns. Too put some of those stats into perspective Gavins 145 tackles is 30 more than the next player from Thousand Islands. 38 more than fellow teammate Cade Zaleski, and 55 more than a player from Frankfort-Schuyler. After that the comparisons aren't even close. The difference between Gavin and the next player is 80 tackles! 15 more than the player had even gotten during the season.

Morrisville has been on a streak of producing highly productive defensive players including Cade, who is returning next year as one of the few seniors of the 2027 class. Cade who not only had 107 tackles from the defensive tackle spot also had 17 Sacks! He led all of section 3 in this category and finished number 2 in the entire state! We can't wait to see what the future holds for him.

Your Mavericks have secured the victory and move on to the final game. Morrisville-Eaton defeated Section 2 Taconic Hills 56-21 to advance to the State Regional championship game. This final game is considered the "State" championship for 8 man football.

Morrisville was led by Gavin Baker who completed a tri-fecta, scoring 3 touchdowns, 1 recieving, 1 INT return and a fumble recovery TD. Gavin also received player of the game for Morrisville.

Morrisville will take on Offensive powerhouse Eldred this coming Friday at CNS. Eldrid has been on a tear averaging 66 points per game on their way to the championship game. Eldred defeated Section 4's Unatego, a team your Mavericks have also faced this year, 56-22 Friday to lock in their right to play for championship.

We want to thank everyone who made it to today's game!

Your Morrisville Eaton Mavericks are Section 3 Champions!!!! We want to thank everyone who came out to support the team today as Morrisville-Eaton secured their 2nd Section championship in 4 years. This victory is extra sweet as they not only avenged last year's loss but an earlier season defeat to the same team. Frankfort-Schuyler who was ranked #1 in the state, was on a roll amassing a 23 game winning streak including 2 consecutive Section 3 titles.

This streak was broke today on some last minute heroics. Morrisville fumbled on the 1 yard line that would have given them the lead. Frankfort looked poised to secure the victory as they were draining the clock, but with 3 minutes left in the fourth quarter Gavin Baker would force a fumble on 3rd down to give the Mavericks a chance. 2 minutes later they would capitalize with a 1 yard touchdown run and 2pt conversion to put the Mavericks ahead by 4.

Frankfort would have 1 minute left on the ensuing kickoff to try and win the game, and with a passing attack that had been effective all game it would come down to how Morrisville's secondary would respond. After completing a short pass Frankfort would hit a big screen pass that was negated by an ineligible man down field. The following play all but sealed the win as Cade Zaleski found the quarterback and forced the game winning fumble.

Your Mavericks move on to Regional play this Saturday at Morrisville college for a noon kick-off. We couldn't be more proud of what this team has accomplished this year, especially after a 0-2 start to the season. We want to thank all the fans, parents and players who have helped make this season special, without your continued support this season wouldn't have been possible especially through a 5 road game stretch. We also want to thank Sherburne-Earlville who we have had a close partnership the past two off-seasons, their coaches took the time to come today and supply their own equipment to help on the sideline.

We have a lot to catch up on, sorry for the delay. The Mavericks are currently sitting at 2-2 getting ready for division play this coming week. Morrisville hasn't lost 2 regular season games dating back to the 2020 Covid season, but this year has seen the Mavericks play 3 teams ranked In the top 6 in the state.

Week 1 saw the Mavericks take on the defending state Champions Frankfort-Schuyler. Morrisville held their own, even with a few injuries in key positions. It was a close back and forth game but Frankfort got the better of the Mavericks 20-18.

Week 2 Morrisville traveled all the way to Elmira to play Section 4's Thomas A. Edison. The game was a defensive battle/offensive struggle for both teams. Neither team could get anything going on offense and saw it go the distance with zeros on the board. TAE would score on a QB keep in Overtime to give them the 8-0 win.

Week 3 was another road game this time traveling to Unatego to take on the #4 team in the state. Morrisville had seemed to finally find it's groove. Entering halftime 15-14 it looked like another close game, but Unatego would come out in the second half and start to impose their will. Morrisville found itself down 29-14 in the 4th quarter, but would claw it's way back into the game, thanks to a some big plays including a blocked punt. Unatego had 50 seconds left to lead their team down the field but would see Morrisville intercept a pass to secure the 34-29 win.

Week 4 was the longest road trip of the 5 game stretch that Morrisville finds itself on the road, traveling to Section 2s Cornith. This was the first glimpse of past Morrisville teams, who dominated Cornith from the first whistle. The Mavericks amassed over 500 yards of offense in their 68-6 win.

Morrisville is currently on an 18 game winning streak against divisional opponents and will look to extend that this coming week when they travel to play Ontech this coming Saturday.

Good Afternoon, we are going to start our pre season lifting February 15th at 9 AM. We are going to start just 1 day a week and work up from there. We have talked with Fit You Fitness in Eaton and tried to work out a discount for the kids. The players will need a membership that costs $20 for the month. We know that this is inconvenient for some but this will allow us more space and equipment for the players. Once Summer arrives we will transition to the school.

We will also be posting post season awards and stats from this season this weekend sorry for the delay.
