Victory Martial Arts Blake Bruning offering Martial Arts Classes Specializing in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu I have been in martial arts for over 20 constant years.

I have been teaching for the past 16 years (as well as training). I have a Black Belt and Full Instructorship in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kunee Do and Kali under Dion Riccardo from Chicago. I also have a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Marcello C. Monteiro, in which I still teach classes for him at his Home Academy. Although I still teach adults regularly, I have been primarily teaching Kids and J

r. Adults Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past 5 years. I am thankful for all the great Teachers, Training Partners, Students and my greatest supporters…My Parents, that God has blessed me with over the past couple of decades. I am beholden unto him and his son Jesus Christ for giving me inspiration and safety in my training and teaching Martial Arts, as well as revelation and understanding of what is truly worth teaching. Teaching Biblical Principles hand in hand with Martial Arts is my life.

Soooo, I am proud that my kids/jr. Adults have take 1st team championships 3 years in a row at the annual tournament...and I was reminded recently about one of my motivational speeches the Holy Ghost inspired me with. Now this isn't the whole speech or all the little extra's I add or little things that culminate as it gets closer to the competitions...but here is some of the highlights for the main point of one of my favorites.

Courage. Some people think courage is not being scared, but with out being scared you can show no courage. So, courage is being scared, but doing the right thing.
It is better to try your moves (technigues) and be really bad at them, then to sit there doing nothing. Failure is more instructive then success, and if you don't try your moves and fail you won't get any better at using them.
So, I guess what I am saying to you all is this...I want all of you whom I love and am very proud of to go out there and be the Biggest group is Scarred Failures I have ever seen! No get out there and Risk it for the Biscuit!

Protection Against Stranger "Kidnapping Challenge Blitz Drill"

In this drill I put together most of what they learn in one series of events as I try to take them from one end of the school and out a door. If I make out the door(could represent a van...today it was the restroom, lol) they are kidnapped. All the kids here Only had a few hours or less of working these tools. They did great. I am very proud and Love them all!
