BJJ tip for today: Have fun!

Don't worry about it so much that you stop having fun. Accept that failing is part of the learning process, make friends at your gym, and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself. Also, you don't have to do submissions all the time to have fun. A successful sweep or takedown can be just as fun.

Why Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is perfect sport for women?

It is safe!

The chances of getting hurt during training are very low, mostly because the art doesn't involve hitting. You won't get hit in the face or kicked in the legs like in boxing or Muay Thai.

So BJJ is a much safer choice. If you get caught in a choke or joint lock, you can always tap out to start over. When you hurt or feel bad, you can always tap out to stop it.

7 ways to show respect and take care of your partners ⬇️

Everyone's progress in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu depends on having a steady stream of partners to train with and roll with. Respecting your training partner is an important way to make sure you always have someone willing to train with you.

This means that you need to:

1. Avoid injuring your partners
2. Avoid submissions which the instructor has not authorised in your gym or at your belt level e.g neck cranks or heel hooks are often prohibited for white belts
3. Wear a clean gi and no gi clothing
4. Practice good hygiene
5. Be friendly
6. Be a good sport
7. Pay attention during class and be a good drilling partner
