Good news! We are excited to announce where the new event to replace Smoky Mountain Dog Fest will be! It will be the same weekend (June 13-14, 2026) as the previous event that had to be cancelled.

If you have registered already, everything has transferred and don't need to do anything if you want to still compete at this event. If you have registered and don't wish to attend, you will need to contact DockDogs (Linda Torson) directly.

We are teaming up with Smoky Mountain K9 Sports to have a club event at their amazing facility and we are so gracious for the opportunity to have an event at a place that we all hold so dear to us!

The Dunn's have been touched by all of the recent legends who have passed recently (especially from cancer) that brought us all together and want to get us all together and welcome those new leashes as well, but also raise money for Chase Away K9 Cancer and The B.A.A.R.K. Foundation, Inc.. Any profit from the event will be split between the two organizations.

We will still have our annual awards ceremony right after EV. We we are going to need our SMDD community to show up for this and help run the event. We will have admin and a DockDogs crew member come out so the Dunn's can really enjoy the event and the community and not have to worry about much!

We will be forming a planning/volunteer committee soon so standby for more information and if you already know you want to help and be on that planning committee, let us know in the comments below. We are planning on getting a few vendors as well as food trucks to stop by for lunches. Thank you to all of the people who contributed to the raffle in Gordon’s memory! Our grand prize winner which was drawn today before finals was Tom and Baker. Thanks to all of you, we have raised $500 EACH for the Florida Poodle Rescue and Noah’s Ark!

🛎️ looking forward to seeing everyone jump at SMK9 IDS’ Sports Edgar’s Pool Party this weekend! 🛎️

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are not going to be able to host the 2025 International Dog Sports Championships this year.

We have also ultimately determined to cancel our August IDS competition.

We are very saddened by the cancellation but encourage you to continue to compete and find a facility near you that is hosting, such as Sliding G Ranch (www.sgrdogs.com) in Chapel Hill, NC or various other facilities listed on IDS website (internationaldogsports.com)

Gordon loved his rescue animals. In his memory, we are raising money for two of his favorites- Florida Poodle Rescue and Noah’s Ark.
